Food Crisis AI Dashboard

Outline

  • 01Summary

Turning complex data into actionable insight, the Food Crisis AI Dashboard—developed by Soonho Kim and Sediqa Zaki—serves as the central platform for visualizing outputs from all components of the Prediction of Food Crisis Risks project. Designed to make advanced prediction models understandable to non-technical users, the dashboard integrates results from global forecasts, high-frequency country analyses, price-based early warning models, and climate–ecosystem studies.

The dashboard will be accessible through the project website, foodcrisiswatch.org, offering policymakers and researchers a single-entry point to explore forecasts, track regional trends, and compare drivers of food insecurity. It also introduces a methodology for evaluating Responsible AI, assessing how users experience the system through principles of equity, transparency, and inclusiveness.

By combining visualization with responsible design principles, the Food Crisis AI Dashboard helps make advanced prediction tools more understandable and useful for guiding early action against food crises.
